Sorry Not Sorry

So I missed a Friday!! But I have a fabulous reason. My sweet Husband was gonna all last week and he came home on Friday. We spent all our time just hanging out and catching up, the girlies really missed their Daddy and I was over the moon to have him home! After a week of solo parenting I just have to say all you single parents out there, YOU ROCK!! Seriously being the only parent for a week was tough and I had quiet a bit of help from my Mom and Sister {Which I am super grateful for!!!} I applaud all the Moms and Dads out there that play both roles on a daily basics. If I had to do it of coarse I could but I am so grateful and Thankful that I don't have to. However not everyone is that blessed or lucky, so next time you see a single parent I encourage you to lift them up instead of judging them, It might be just what the need to get through the day.

I will be back this Friday with another round of five :)

Friday Five

Woo Hoo!!! Two Fridays in a row, I just might actually keep up with the blog this time ;) So here we go, week 2 of my Friday Randoms.

One:

So I'm 14 weeks pregnant this week and already battling Sciatic nerve pain! If you've ever experienced it you know its pretty painful and makes it almost impossible to do anything! Which is not an option when you have two toddlers running around. Praise the Lord I have found a pretty good way to take care of it! Alternating between heat and ice has helped so much. Growing a baby is hard work, but so worth it in the end!

Two:

I'm cutting my hair this Saturday!!! I am so excited to get a little pampering done. I rarely spend money on myself, so this is a treat. My hair is about mid back length and I'm cutting it to just above my shoulders. I have pretty thick hair so the only way a short do looks good on me is if I have lots of layers and have it thinned out a bit. Besides being in Arizona with long thick hair is never fun, especially in the middle of summer!

Three:

Miss Kynslie will be turning THREE in about two months and I seriously can not believe its already been that long! She was my first sweet girl, the blessing that made me a mom. It feels like only yesterday we brought her home and were entering that new parent territory. It was so hard at times but so worth it! So I'm in super birthday planning mode and can't wait for it all to come together! My inspiration board is full of her current favorite, Tinkerbell. This party should be fairy-tastic ;)

Four:

I am a total Coach snob ha:) Seriously though its the only brand I will carry! If it wasn't for Coach outlets I'm sure my Husband would be in purse debt! I usually get a new one each year on my birthday but since having kiddos that hasn't happened due to the need to carry a diaper bag. However I have finally decided after almost three years of sharing a bag with the girls that Momma needs her own bag. So I went in search of a new bag and I was sadly disappointed. Has anyone else realized how much leather Coach is using now?? What happen to all the fun c prints and wild colors?? Not sure what to think. Was hoping one would find its way under our Christmas tree this year but maybe not.

Five:

I've been looking for a good Bible study that will help me stay in the word and keep me accountable but sadly have had no such luck! So if anyone out there has some recommendations or would like to share what they are currently working through I would so appreciate it. Ive been wanting to go through The Power Of A Praying Wife so maybe I'll do that or something my sister has. She usually has the best studies to go through.

There ya have it! Some random thoughts for this Friday.

Friday Five

One of my Favorite bloggers {Hello Happiness} does a weekly Friday post of five things. Sometimes random or sometimes themed but a round up of five things. I've wanted to join in for a while now but was nervous I wouldn't consistently have five things to blog about! However having a weekly post I feel will keep me more accountable with Blogging. So I've decided to just bite the bullet and see how it goes! Woo Hoo, my FIRST Friday Five!!

One:

I recently heard about this awesome site called The Hair Bow Fairy where you sign up for a monthly subscription of hair bows! Yup you read that right, Hair Bows!! I've recently noticed how many colors I'm lacking in the girlies hair bow collection and think this could be the perfect fix! We'll see if I can talk the Husband into it ;)

Two:

Anyone else super busy this weekend?? We have three birthday parties to attend and are catching the new Minions movie this weekend! The Hubby scored tickets from his work and we are super excited to take the girls! They love Despicable Me so I'm sure this new one will be an instant favorite! Don't know what it is about Summer that has us sooooo busy!!

Three:

We have a small kitchen chalkboard that my Mom got me this last Christmas. I hung it on the front of our pantry door and I try and keep it decorated to the current Holiday. Of course since its July its decorated for the Fourth and I just love how it turned out! Inspiration came from Little Baby Garvin who is the QUEEN of chalkboards! Seriously if you haven't checked out her blog you need too!

Four:

I am now the proud owner of a new to me KitchenAid!! I've wanted one since I first got into baking back in Junior year of High school! My Grandparents just recently sold their house to buy an RV and travel the United States! So that meant down sizing a lot of their things. I couldn't be more thankful that the KitchenAid made it to my Kitchen!! I can't wait for all the creating that is to follow!!

Five:

Do you ever try a recipe and for whatever reason it just doesn't work? Well that was how Wednesday nights dinner went. We attempted Oven baked chicken parmesan sandwiches. Sounds pretty good but it did not turn out like the picture! Our bread was soggy even though we toasted it, our chicken was falling out of the bread and the cheese just melted to the tin foil -_- It was a fail haha. You can find the recipe here if you'd like to give it a try yourself! Good luck, may you have better results then us!

That rounds up my first Friday Five! Hope you enjoyed it!!

Our Festive Fourth

Normally our Fourth is spent just hanging out or camping up north. This year however, we had a special 1st Birthday to attend! Some friends of ours had their sweet little boy on Fourth of July last year! It was so nice catching up with friends and celebrating their little man! Happy Birthday Eason!

After birthday festivities we headed home for a long nap for the girls and some Netflix for Mom and Dad! We attempted to watch Don Jon, which was AWFUL!!! We thought it was suppose to be a comedy however, it was more like a porno!! So we clicked on God's Not Dead and everything was once again right with the world ;) If you haven't seen God's Not Dead I would highly recommend it! We loved it!

We then fired up the grill and family started showing up. We grilled stake, burgers and hotdogs and just enjoyed some family time. Around 9 we loaded up and headed out the the main road to catch some fireworks. The girls were into them for about 10 minutes then spent the rest of the time running around Papa's truck! So it was a late night but full of family and sweet memories. Unfortunately I didn't snap any pictures of the girls matching American flag shirts or mom and dads patriotic colored shirts!! #Momfail ;) I did however get a picture of our front door decor, that the Hubs picked out himself!!! Score one for the Husband!! Hope everyone had a fabulous Fourth with loved ones!
