I'm sitting here this morning trying to decided the best way to start this new blog. Something fun and exciting but also about our family. Then it hit me!! Whats more fun then 20 questions when you're getting to know someone?!?! But since this is a blog of course I had to modify it a little. So here we have 20 things about the Tait's!
#1 We spend our Sunday nights with our Community groups!
At Heart Cry we have community groups that meet once a week on Sundays! There is a guys group and a girls group, the guys meet at our apartment at 6 and the girls get together at Bridget's house at 6:30. We really enjoy this time we get to spend with our groups studying God's word!
#2 We met in High School!
I was a senior when I met Jubal! He has already graduated but hung out with some friends that were in my graduating class. We actually met at a Queen Creek vs Higley football game, where he offered me his jacket and I had every intention of going home with it!! We later met again at a Queen Creek soccer game where Jubal flirted endlessly with me. A mutual friend gave me his number and we talked for hours constantly. It was all down hill from there! We got together in February and never looked back!

#3 We got married on the beach!
In November of 2010 we drove out to L.A. to spend a weekend with some friends that moved there in August. On November 12, 2010 Jubal and I said our vows, exchanged rings and became Man and Wife!! The beach was beautiful and the sun was just setting, it was the perfect moment and I wouldn't change it for the world!

#4 We our Disney People!!
We absolutely love Disney and Disneyland! We spent our Honeymoon at Disneyland and try to go at least once a year! However we also love Disney movies!! We have seen just about every Disney movie made and love to quote them to stump each other!! Needless to say we rock at Disney Scene It!

#5 We have been PreApproved for a house!
We found out last weekend that we have been PreApproved for a new home build!! Its out in Queen Creek, which we are actually really excited about because it is a lot closer to our Family. This will be our first home and we've been able to pick out the colors for everything like the outside of the house, the carpet, the countertops and wall colors! its been a really exciting process and we are hoping to move in this September!!
#6 We are going to be parents this September!!
We found out on January 12 that I was about 6 weeks pregnant! The funniest part for me was I only took the test to prove to myself that I wasn't pregnant ha!! I really thought I was creating my symptoms, because anyone who knows me knows I really wanted to have a baby! I've been begging Jubal since we got married :] I am due September 20 and we couldn't be more excited! We have been really blessed to have amazing family and friends that have offered up some of their baby things to us for our little one! And I couldn't be more excited to decorate the nursery in our new home!!!

#7 Jubal is working on getting promoted!!
Its actually a lot more than just a simple promotion! He is up for a job at Intel!! He works for a company that does work for Intel but his job requires him to be working directly with Intel employees. They are in need of quite a few new faces. The people Jubal have been working with are really impressed with his work ethic and ability to get things done! He put in his resume and hopefully will be getting an interview soon! He is really excited about this opportunity and I couldn't be more proud of him!
#8 I love to bake!
This is probably a bit of an understatement! I am a bit of a bake enthusiast! I like to bake not only simple cupcakes and cookies, but I also love to do more fancy things like designer cakes and frosted sugar cookies! Unfortunately ever since I found out I was pregnant I have had an odd repulsion to anything dessert! :] Our family finds it quiet funny that I can't stomach baking cause its what I'm kind of known for! Hopefully the baby will come around soon so I can make the cake for my baby shower!!

#9 We have two dogs, that we love!
Jubal bought me Lulu, our little Yorkie for my 18th birthday. She is a sweetheart if your not a over bearing little girl ha or another dog!! She definitely has little dog syndrome cause she thinks she can take any dog! no matter the size!! She drives Jubal nuts most of the time but he loves her just the same! We bought Bentley, our little mixed mutt because I wanted another puppy! She is very much a sweetheart, she loves kids and to give kisses. However she is very much nervous if there are dogs around that are bigger then her! She loves little dogs like her Lulu but big dogs come around she brings out her big girl bark!! We call it that cause she never barks unless she's scared or protecting her home!! We love them so much and wouldn't know what to do with out them!!
#10 We love Summer storms in Arizona!
I think it would be safe to say we love storms anywhere but since we have both lived in Arizona our whole lives Arizona storms is all we really know! We both love to watch the storm clouds roll in and watch the lighting acrossed the desert! However I'm a big baby when it comes to thunder! I always jump and hide my face in his chest and he just laughs and holds me close! Even though thunder comes with summer storms I still love them and can't wait for this years Manson Season!!
#11 We will be finding out the sex of our baby on Saturday!!
We are doing a baby reveal this Saturday at the park and couldn't be more excited!! We have an Ultra sound picture that has boy or girl written on it. The tech at our appointment stuck it into an envelope I decorated. Saturday morning we are taking it to the store with a box and having them fill it with pink or blue balloons depending on what the Ultra sound picture says. After we pick it up we are taking it to the park where friends and family will be waiting for us to open it and release the balloons!! So we will all find out at the same time whether its Hair Bows or Bow Ties!!

#12 We never end up opening our gifts for each other On Christmas!!!
We have spent the last four Christmas together and it never fails that we open our gifts days even weeks before Christmas or even Christmas eve!! For the record I blame Jubal ha! He is the most impatient man I have ever met!! The funniest thing is he isn't impatient to open his gifts, its my gifts he wants me to open! He is so excited to give me my gifts he pesters and pleads until I give in! Last year I held out till the week of Christmas! But this year is going to be different!! It will be our first year with our baby! The baby's first Christmas so we will be waiting till Christmas morning to open gifts!!!! I'm putting my foot down.....I hope!!
#13 I love to cook, but Jubal is SO picky!!
I've been cooking since I was 11 and feel that I'm pretty good at it! I have many secret recipes and different ways of preparing the same dish! I love to try new things and expand my knowledge of cooking! However, Jubal is pretty stinking picky! He doesn't eat veggies or much fruit! That makes it super hard cause veggies are used in many dishes! He doesn't do red sauce unless its pizza sauce or ketchup and he hates tomatoes!! It makes coming up with a weekly menu very difficult!! I refuse to make two different meals every night like my Mom use to{Picky Dad!} so I'm slowly finding new things that he'll try and sometimes likes!! Wish me luck!!
#14 We Love spending time together!!
We Love to go out to dinner or the movies or both!! Especially with just each other! Some People might find it odd that after four years together we still love to spend as much time as we can with each other! But we really do!! We get along so well and even if its just cuddled up on the couch we love our date nights! We are constantly talking and texting and have had many friends ask us how we have stuff to talk about all day every day! But when your married to your Best Friend its really not that hard to have stuff to talk about! We don't keep secrets from each other and tell each other everything!! It gives us a lot to talk about!
#15 We love being outside!
We both grew up being outside and playing with friends! Jubal raced Motocross while he was a teen and still has a love and a passion for it! I played volleyball all through school and loved going outside to practice with my sister! Every year we go camping for the fourth of July and love being out in the woods! If the weather is nice, cause this is Arizona, we like to go outside with the dogs or got to the outside mall and window shop! We both want a big yard so our children will grow to love being outside as much as we do!!
#16 We are strong in our faith!
We attend church every Sunday and our proud to say we are Southern Baptist! Many people think this means there is a long list of things we can't do! However they couldn't be more wrong! We don't have rules or guide lines other then those set by God in the bible! We our very much a church that says come as you are, we are all sinners and are trying to help each other stay on the right path! We believe Jesus is our Lord and Savior and no one can enter the kingdom of heaven apart from him!
#17 We have our baby names picked out!
We spent much time debating and bouncing names and middle names off of each other! But I' am happy to announce we have a little boy name and a little girl name! I'm actually really nervous about actually telling the world our names cause we spent so much time picking them out and I really don't want anyone to steal them!! However I can give you a little background on our favorite name! They are very much country names and we love it!! They are very unique and even have a little of Jubal's family name in there as well as a little Disney! I'm sure your more confused then when you started reading this one but you'll all just have to wait till September 20, to fully understand what I'm rambling about!!
#18 Jubal has a passion for photography!
Jubal really likes to be behind the camera and taking pictures of everyone! I've been telling him forever to take a photography class!! He's a natural at taking pictures but doesn't know as much as he'd like to!! He got a really nice camera for his birthday not last year but the year before that and he has taken it with him just about every where!! Even though he is great behind the camera he is also hilarious in front of the camera! He is so fun and goofy and definitely brings out the goofy in me!!
#19 I love to Craft!!
I'm a little talented in the crafts department! I love to make homemade cards and scrapbook! I make all birthday and special event cards, I think buying them is a waste of money!! Besides I can make something twice as cute as what they have in the store!! I have a Cricket and a Cake Cricket!! So its safe to say most of the things that can be made are made in this house!! I really enjoy doing it and most times get lost in the paper and stickers and lose complete track of time! But I absolutely love it!!
#20 We couldn't be more excited for the future!
We didn't plan for a baby or to be buying a house but no one really does! We know God has a plan and we are along for the ride. That being said we are so excited and looking forward to whats to come! A lot of people have told us how hard and stressful its going to be when the baby gets here, but what some people may forget to tell us is how rewarding and amazing it will be also! We are in this together, come what may and with my positive outlook and his fun-loving nature its sure to be interesting! So stay tuned we have a lot coming up!!
So there you have it! 20 Things about the Tait's! This was a lot harder than I had originally anticipated!! But it was also a lot of fun! We have some very exciting events in our future and I can't wait to blog about all the fun!!
