Kynslie's first month home!

Kynslie's first week home was spent with Mama and Daddy. We had a doctors appointment and made a few trips out to our house but it was fairly quiet. Some fellow church members brought us dinner and we got to know our little girl!

Kyns's second week was spent packing for our first move. Unfortunately our house wasn't done before we had to be out of our apartment, so our first move was into a guest suit at our apartment complex. It was nice to be moving out of our apartment but would have been better if we were moving into our house:/

At the end of Kynslie's third week we were moving again :] but this time into our home!! It was a very busy first few weeks for our sweet girl but also very exciting!

The week she turned a month old, we did lots of unpacking and got her costume ready for her first Halloween!

Now without further a due Kynslie's 1st month picture overload ;]

Kynslie's Birth Story

*Before I Start this post I just want to add a little Caution note! Not that its gonna be graphic but just so everyone knows, I'm talking about my experience giving birth!! If you rather not know feel free to skip this post and wait for the next post :]

Now that that has been said here we go! On Monday September 25 {Five days after my due date} I had a doctors appointment. I was still at a 1 maybe a 2 so our doctor stripped my membranes which was pretty painful and came with quiet a bit of blood! We then were given an induction date! If I didnt go into labor before Thursday I was scheduled to come in at 5am to Start the induction process. So we headed home to pretty much just wait. Tuesday Jubal went to work {It was his long week} and my sister {Jordan} Came over and we just hung out. I did some cleaning knowing at the very least we would have our sweet girl that weekend. However later that night I started have contractions and there were painful but I was able to sleep!
The next morning as I finished some cleaning I noticed I still had contractions and they were gradully getting more intense. Jordan came over again and kept me company while I counted contractions. By 12 the contractions were very intense and close together, I called Jubal, while Jordan called the hospital {I wanted to make sure if I came in now I wouldn't get sent home!} By 3 pm we were in the hospital labor and delivery Triage. Where we received the awful news that I was only 2 cm dilated!! So we walked trying to get me to progress. As the contractions continued to intensive I began throwing up I was in so much pain. Because I was throwing up of coarse I got dehydrated. They started an IV, which took a really long time to actually start cause I was that dehydrated already! At 6 pm I was checked again and notified I was only at 3 cm! So we walked some more while the nurse called the Doctor to see if they would keep me. Thank the Lord they did however, I was still quiet a ways from being able to get some medicine to help with the pain! So I walked and sat on an exercise ball, doing everything I could to dilate more. Around 11:30pm -12am I got really quite trying to just breath and let my body do what it needed to. And hallelujah it did!
By 3 am I was pain free with an epidural and at a 6! I was then able to get a few hours of sleep, preparing for delivery. At 6 am I was checked again and was a 7. Slowly but surly I was getting closer to meeting our sweet girl. By 930 I was a 10. I began pushing at 10:30 and at 10:46 am Kynslie Belle Tait was born! It was the most amazing thing I have ever done and honestly what they say is true! I don't really remember the pain! Even though I know I was in a lot of pain I can't honestly recall exactly how painful it was. So praise the Lord, I survived and We will definitely be having more children just not anytime soon :]

MIA

That's right I've been missing in action this last month but who can blame me :] I've been getting to know my sweet girl and moving into our house!! So yes I've been missing from my blog but definitely been active. There is so much for me to catch up on I'm kinda wondering how I'll ever get all caught up! However the best place to start is always the beginning :] so I'll do a quick catch up over view then go into detail one event at a time!

So we brought Kynslie home where she got to meet Great Grandpa and Grammie, Aunt Dana and Riley as well as quite a few church members who so graciously brought us dinner! {Which I just have to say we are very thankful for and can't wait to return the favor!!} We were in our apartment for two weeks before we moved into a guest suit at the complex. We then spent a week in the guest suit before we moved into our new house! It was such a busy three first weeks for Kynslie but she did great with all the moving and people who were there to help!

Our first week in the house Kyns turned 1 month old!! She's just growing so fast I'm trying to keep updated on all her first and exciting moments. The very next week she celebrated her first Halloween by carving pumpkins with mama, daddy and Aunt Jordan {She actually slept through most of the process haha} and also going trick or treating with Auntie Shae as a ghost!{She got daddy quiet a bit of candy!!} Now here is where I would normally insert the super cute pictures to match all these sweet first moments however they are either on my phone or haven't been uploaded yet -_- the busy life of a stay at home mama ;] So I promise when I do a post of each event they will be complete with pictures for you to ooh and ahh at!

This last weekend we went to Jubal's company get together at Shnef farms and enjoyed some carnival rides and yummyBBQ! It was still a little warm :\ but over all we had a good time with Shaelee and Quintin. Kynslie was also dedicated at church on Sunday and wore an adorable knit dress that was actually made by my great Aunt Sugar's mother!! Crazy right, I was super appreciative that She thought of my sweet girl and sent it to us all the way from Texas.

So that's been our crazy life the last month and a half, but I'll do more detailed post in the weeks to come! I'm hoping to get caught up before Thanksgiving. Keep your finger crossed :] Promise another {detailed} update soon!!

40 Weeks {She's Late!}

     That's right my due date was yesterday and as I'm sure you noticed NO KYNSLIE! However, I'm not too upset :] I'm sure there is a very good reason she is a little late {That's just between her and God} and she should be here soon! {Insight}

This morning I woke up, had some breakfast, and headed straight to the computer to see If any of the lovely blogs I follow had updated today. Imagine my surprise when I found six new posts from the various authors. Needless to say I was excited! Our family is blessed in the fact that I am able to stay at home and not work. However in our little apartment with no little bitty yet, I run out of things to keep myself busy :] So as I'm sure you can imagine numerous blog updates to read is a heaven sent for this stir crazy soon to be mama. As I read and laughed along with some of the authors I came a crossed a post I didn't know I needed until I had read it.
Now some of you may not know but my first youngest sister{She will be 21 this year so she's not that much younger :]} is dating the son of our church Pasture. He has a lovely older sister who is married and had their first little girl in May of this year. She is currently living in Texas so I follow her blog for tips and advise from one first time mama to another. She is such an encouragement and someone I very much look up to! Well she was one of the many updates this morning and her post was the one I needed most. She wrote about a bible study she was catching up on and OH MY! was it powerful. She shared 2 Chronicles 20, the story of Jehoshaphat. Now I'm not gonna steal her thunder so if your interested go check out her moving post! I'll just give you the jest :] The people of Judah knew they needed the Lord and turned to him in their time of need. This was the Lords battle and they recognized that.
Imagine a huge battle, whatever it may be in your life and instead of fearing how in the world your going to take it on, you instead turn to the Lord and accept that its his battle and you need him. Deep right! This little post has helped me in so many ways on a day I think I needed it most. {Funny how we help each other when we least expect it} Now I'm a patient person, we joke that I have patience for days. :]  So the fact that my due date is tomorrow and still no baby hasn't really started to drive me nuts. However at our doctors appointment yesterday I was informed I'm still only 1cm, and this is after a weekend of what I thought were pretty painful and semi regular contractions! Talk about frustrating. Now some of you moms who have been through this I'm sure recognize the signs of a late arrival. For this patient girl not knowing when she is gonna make an appearance effects my Type A personality. So in other words I'm driving myself my husband nuts.
But this morning after reading Paige's post I feel silly for getting so worked up. Its not my schedule, and I'm not in control. {Wait what.....you mean I'm not in the drivers seat?!?!} This is completely out of my hands no matter how much I want to meet my daughter. But that's okay, cause if I just turn to the Lord I'll find all the peace and reassurance I need. So today I let go of the control my Type A personality so desperately needs and I'm letting the Lord fight this battle, for its not mine! When the time is right He'll get things going. :]  I'm so grateful to Paige and the wonderful insight she has shared with me, even if she hasn't realized it. I hope my own insight can inspire someone else who needs it most! What is your battle, cause whatever it is it's not to big for the Lord and you just might discover it was never your battle to begin with.

39 Weeks.....When is she gonna make her debut??

I really wish I had the answer to that question! :] I've had quiet a few people ask me "So you think she's coming soon?" In all honesty I have no idea!!! I mean she is obviously coming soon but how soon or how late for that matter is completely between her and God. I've accepted that I'm not in control, {Which if you know me, is a huge accomplishment with my type A personality} and I'm trying to enjoy the last time we will be a family of two while I can. So with out further a due,

How far along: 39 weeks

Total weight gain: 24 lbs.

Maternity clothes: Only for church, I can still fit into my shorts and shirts with the help of my belly band!

Stretch marks: Just a few tiny ones

Sleep: non-excisting :] but the good news is all be well adjusted to not sleeping when Kynslie gets here!

Best moment of the week: Learning we have a small baby! The Dr. said she is little {Maybe 6 or 7 lbs.} but healthy. I'm hoping that means I wont have to push very long!!

Miss anything: Just being comfortable

Movement: Yup, she's still quiet the wiggle worm. We're gonna have an active little bitty :]

Cravings: Ice and chocolate! Anything chocolate; chocolate chip cookies, chocolate milk, chocolate covered almonds the list is endless!

Symptoms: Achy ribs and hips, sore back and head aches

Belly button in or out: In

Wedding rings on or off: On

Happy or moody most of the time: Happy! Although with all the contractions and lack of sleep you'd think I'd be a little cranky. Surprisingly I'm not, I couldn't be more excited for all the new things headed our way!

Looking forward to: Meeting our daughter and moving into our first home! Both should be happening in the next couple weeks!!!

Best moment of the week: Noticing that my contractions are getting stronger and getting all my thank you cards from the baby shower sent out!

Miss anything: Being able to sleep with out tossing and turning all night, I think I'll finally be a fan of coffee once this little girl gets here!! :]

{Soon to Be} Home Sweet Home

As I typed my weekly update about my pregnancy I realized I talk a lot about the progress of our house but haven't really shared what kind of progress we are seeing or really anything other than there's progress. So today I'm gonna do a little update on our {Soon to Be} Home Sweet Home!

Last Sunday, after church we headed out to our house to see what had gotten done that week. We found our whole house had lattice and was insulated! That meant they could drywall and then it was ready to be stuccoed! And sure enough all the drywall was inside just waiting for them to start.

Then on Wednesday, we headed out to the house again hoping maybe they had made some progress, and imagine our surprise when we saw it was completely drywalled and almost completely done with stucco! Now its really starting to look like a house and we couldn't be more excited!

We are so ready to be in our first home holding our baby girl! We're going to stop by the house again this weekend and hope to see even more progress! September starts tomorrow and we have big plans for this month! Moving and having a baby. Good things are headed our way and we continue to thank the Lord for blessing our family!
